@lynjobes Thank you!
Is my grant renewable?
I didn’t receive a scholarship but I received an around $3,000 pell grant, $3000 work study, and then a $28,500 Pepperdine Grant, which is so large? I guess I just wasn’t expecting something like that because I’d heard that Pepperdine isn’t that great with aid. And then a $5500 loan. I would still have to pay $30,000 a year, which is not something I can afford or would be able to/even want to take out parent+ loans for. That’s okay though, I’m probably going to end up going to Ohio State.
Okay so I also received a 28k Pepperdine grant, which I understand is renewable for four years, but my sister currently attends the school. From what I understand this grant is based on demonstrated need, but does this mean after my sister graduates my grant will decrease?
I got the Seaver scholarship, $36K per year!!!
@audgepaudge oh my goodness!! That’s awesome! I’ll trade ya???
I found the class of 2020 facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1602035596688588/.
Also, I received multiple loans, including a 29k direct plus loan, and total aid came out to 69k, including grants and and loans. does everyone’s “estimated cost of attendance” also 69k-ish? Very confused about stafford and direct plus loans. help!
@workandplayhard yes. The plus loan is for parents and the amount offered is just the amount of need you have left after the other scholarships, grants, and stafford loans
@audgepaudge 36k just for the scholarship?? I had always heard that the regents was highest. Hm guess not haha
@audgepaudge we would be housed together! (Assuming you’re a girl?)
Does anyone know anything about the George Pepperdine scholarship?
@love2bnana I looked on Pepperdine’s website and could not find any specifics on George Pepperdine Scholarship, though my daughter received it. George Pepperdine founded the university, and it is a merit scholarship (not need-based).
Do you guys have any information on your wave net? I’m not seeing anything on it.
@lovehate420 I received my scholarship award via email (merit). I thought I would receive at least 25k based upon my other merit scholarships but it was less. I do not qualify for financial aid.
Does anyone if theyre still updating the scholarships? Or is what we have final?
@Lovehate420 scroll down to finances and then “view financial aid” under that
not sure what it looks like if you don’t get aid though, i received aid so that’s what my screen looked like
@workandplayhard The acceptance email said they’d be sending financial info and merit awards March 21-25, so there may still be hope for you. @Lovehate420 were you accepted, if so, your wave net should have a financial link.
Thanks guys I see it:)
One question did anyone get grants and scholarships? Or are they just giving scholarships to kids who aren’t getting aid?
@love2bnana and @Lovehate420 I received a George Pepperdine Achievement scholarship…it wasn’t for very much but anything is appreciated. I was not offered any aid.
- Does anyone know when the packets from admissions arrive in the mail? We get an acceptance letter/packet right? Thanks!
