I was accepted yesterday (34 ACT, 4.7 GPA, #1 in class) and today received a 30k Regent’s Scholarship. Any one else hear back about scholarships? Do you know if church of Christ scholarships are released later?

Just saw that I was accepted!
33 ACT
1490 SAT
3.85 UW
8 APs and several honors classes

I’m still waiting to hear back from Davidson, Emory, and Vanderbilt. I’m concerned that I won’t be able to attend Pepperdine based on cost. I’m also from Missouri and Pepperdine is very far

How much grants did you guys get?

Daughter got $30k Regents’. Most likely will go to University of Miami. Hard to turn down Singer Scholarship at the “U” (full tuition for 4 years). At least she will have options.

I did not receive any grants @puppycai But a generous merit scholarship

Accepted
2140 SAT Superscore
4.0 unweighted gpa, 4.5 weighted
I received the $30k Regents Scholarship

hello y’all! I am a freshman at Pepperdine and I’m on the $30k regents scholarship. I’m also going abroad to Lausanne, Switzerland next year! If anyone has any questions at all about pepperdine or malibu, please dm me on instagram (@alexxcausley) anytime (even later this summer!) as I absolutely love talking about my home!! So happy for everyone that got accepted!!! (also, my instagram is a really good snapshot into pepperdine life if you’re curious)

p.s. I also got into SDSU, Cal Poly SLO, PLNU, and Cal Lu so if you want any comparisons let me know

Where do you check for scholarships?

Where do the students live? My son was accepted yesterday. Is there enough on campus housing for freshmen? Do students move off campus after freshman year?

@joshgonzo50 on your wave net account. You should have received an email with log in info.
@zeamom Yes there is enough on-campus housing and freshman are required to live on campus. It looks pretty nice compared to other dorms we have visited. Students can move off campus after freshman year or live on campus which a lot of sophomores do. They also have nice apartments on campus.

Sophomores are required to live on campus. Many study abroad that year, anyway.

I am curious if those who were accepted made reference to their faith/religion (if any)? Just wondering if that is a factor in admissions here.

I haven’t gotten a wavenet account but applied when did they send you the wavenet info?

@momof3co Since I’m not religious, I used the essay about faith to discuss philosophy. I thought I would be rejected because of it, but I was accepted!

@aliyahbarnes090 Once accepted, they send an email with instructions on how to create the wavenet account. Check your spam folder! All of my daughter’s communications from Pepperdine have gone there, even her acceptance email.

Thank you but still no acceptance, Still waiting on that email

seems like those accepted have much higher scores and GPA’s than those admitted last year (looking at the 2020 thread). they didn’t really accept many who fall into their normal range

My daughter applied and was accepted. We live in MA. She has a 3.94 unweighted GPA, 4.4 weighted and 1500 SAT. She is waiting to hear from a few Ivy schools yet. She’s been accepted everywhere she’s applied so far, except MIT.
