Pepperdine vs LMU

I have been accepted into both schools for biology and biochemistry respectively and am completely stuck. I have received half tuition from Pepperdine, but have not yet received FA from LMU (although money is not a determining factor). I like both campuses, but I am worried about what stereotypes come with both campuses (Pepperdine is boring, LMU isn’t highly respected). What can you share about both colleges to make the decision easier?!

Congrats on your acceptances! Hope I can share just a bit that might help you decide. My uncle teaches math at LMU, 3 cousins have gone (free) and have majored respectively in history, math, and mech engineering. All have minored in music. My understanding is they all have had very good experiences. I hold LMU in high respect for STEM generally, can’t speak to biology degree in particular but I assume (perhaps wrongly?) that good engineering and math points to strong bio.

Friend I knew is a freshman at Pepperdine; finds it challenging but loves it. (I believe she’s biology/kinesiology or something like that.)
