Pepperdine vs. UCLA

I'm a senior in high school and have narrowed my college choices to attend either UCLA or Pepperdine this fall. UCLA would be my top choice, but my intend major (comm. studies) is closed to freshmen and I've heard that applying into it your sophomore year can be extremely competitive. The last thing I want to do is be stuck at UCLA without my major.

At Pepperdine, I was awarded the Regents Scholarship and would pursue a major in Integrated Marketing Communications. (I didn't receive any $ from UCLA.) However, I'm afraid the school might just be too small and secluded for my liking...

Does anybody have any insight on UCLA's comm. major, or just my dilemma in general?
