Perfect Combination??? The perfect college..life,campus,city,people

So what do you all think makes a perfect college experience?? To me, the city makes a huge difference because the peoples lifestyle is super important to me!

I'm thinking of going to colleges in either:
Boston
Chicago
Austin
Seattle

What would you all make your perfect college combination??

I was just thinking about this. But using just Ivies. Anyways, if I could make the perfect college using just the Ivies, it would have:
*Brown’s curriculum
*Harvard’s prestige
*Princeton’s architecture
*Cornell’s landscape
*Colubia’s location (can I have both this and the Cornell landscape? I guess I can  )

Well, I say you can’t beat Cal Berkeley for the area, the nature, the weather, the academics, the diversity, the excitement, the food, the campus and the world renown.

^ Agreed… :D

I hear UT Austin is really a pretty school. And Austin is so cool.

Ann Arbor has it all on a manageable scale. The winters are cold and cloudy however.

UNIVERSITY of CHICAGO

I’d have to agree with katliamom… (not that the university doesn’t have its problems)

(No, I’m not a student there. ;))

Not the perfect social life.

IMO, the perfect combination =

Harvard’s prestige

Rice’s architecture

Duke’s landscaping and grounds

Vanderbilt’s sense of fun

Notre Dame’s sports scene

UC Berkeley’s weather

The answer, of course, is Stanford.

Stanford is not located in any of the cities on OP’s list.

Philly is a great city for college. It’s got more college students than any east coast city save for boston, and with schools ranging from Ivy and top-tier LAC all the way down…

hawkette, you really love Stanford, don’t you? :p

I would say the perfect combination is:
Brown’s curriculum
Harvard’s prestige
Dartmouth’s academic calendar
Princeton’s architecture
Cornell’s landscape
Stanford’s location

You might want to rethink your selection criteria.

If you can get into a selective program at the University of Texas @ Austin (Plan II Honors, BHP, or Deans Scholars Program) then UT is an amazing across the boards. Obviously what UT lacks in contrast to the Ivies is the notorious highly selective admissions however as I stated before if you can get into one of the selective renowned programs at UT then it cant be beat in the South.

Philly is a terrible, crime-ridden city. I feel bad for the UPenn and Drexel kids.;)

Random public urination add to the mix makes it so unique and one of a kind. Yes, I’ve witnessed and was almost peed on.

**Brown’s curriculum
Harvard’s prestige
Princeton’s undergraduate focus
UC Santa Barbera’s location
Arizona State’s social life
Oxford’s campus architecture

Just my .02**

Northwestern. I have a good life.
