Perfect Match

My daughter has made up her mind that she wants to go to Middlebury, but she does not know how to make sure the Admissions Office knows that this is a great fit and is extremely interested (other than applying Early Decision). Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

What is it about Middlebury that she thinks makes it such a great fit for her? What is she interested in studying, participating in, etc.? Is she in the ballpark admissions wise regarding transcript and test scores? A little more info will help.

You are aware of the fact that hundreds of kids believe them to be a perfect match for Midd, right? It’s a bit subjective for you to say that she is definitely a perfect match, especially being her parent. Just apply. See what happens. I’m not even sure if Midd tracks interest.

I would strongly discourage “perfect fit.”. I’ve seen it happen a lot and frequently results in crushing disappointment. Better to encourage the thought that there are many good choices out there and fit comes from effort and attitude.
