Perks for Tufts students?

What are some perks for being a student at Tufts? Aside from the amazing education, of course ;)

I'm just wondering the little things... something like free admission to the MFA? Any discounts? What about the different speakers and musical acts that have come to campus?

These will in no way determine my decision, but they are things that I am interested in knowing about :) I'm just trying to look at college as an entire experience, so I thought I should take a break from contemplating the academics in order to consider the culture :)

There’s free general admission to the MFA, $8 special exhibition tickets, 10% discount on Museum Shop purchases…
The New England Aquarium is only around $2 cheaper for college students…

Thanks for the info :)

Any more things? I think on the tour they say something about showing recent movies every weekend or something? Anything else of that sort?

Yeah, the tufts film series shows a lot of movies; generally two different ones every weekend, with multiple viewing times for each one on Friday and Saturday nights (I believe). They show both new films and older classics; a month or so ago, I went with a few of my friends to see The Sting.

There are also a lot of great artists and speakers who come. This year I’ve seen Tony Blair speak and Ben Folds perform, and have unfortunately missed out on a number of others including John Kerry (one I wish I’d gone to) and a bunch of other comedians, musicians, etc that I didn’t have as much interest in. For Spring Fling in a few weeks we’re going to have Ludacris, Asher Roth, and the Decemberists. Last year the Dropkick Murphys headlined at Spring Fling.

Loooooove it! So exciting actually being able to see these type of people in-person… that’s part of what the whole college experience is going to be about for me (hopefully!).
