<p>i'm kind of confused about the personal statement - is it the short answer question about the extracurricular activities that has to be 150 words, or is it something that has to be added to the beginning of your 500 word essay?</p>
<p>What are you referencing when you say “personal statement?” In my experience, this is a general term used to apply to the main essay which the Common App asks you to address, the one with six different prompts.</p>
