The letters indicate your personality preferences in four dimensions: Where you focus your attention – Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I) The way you take in information – Sensing (S) or Intuition (N) How you make decisions – Thinking (T) or Feeling (F) How you deal with the world – Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)
I’m an Entrepreneur estp-a & estp-t. I guess so but my S is even more of an Entrepreneur than I. I did start and am running my own nonprofit, so there’s that. S is self-employed, running his own business and even renting warehouse space.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my emotional heart!
It’s interesting because I always come out to be ISTJ, usually extremely so. But not on this one. I was the DEFENDER ISFJ-A. I guess I’ve gotten more feelings with age!
I’d say that’s true for me, for sure. In this case, the test said:
Defender ISFJ-T. I’m quite sure it would have been far different a decade or two ago.
I’ve always been an INTJ (took my first Meyers-Briggs as part of career counseling in high school 45 years ago) but I got INFJ-T on this one. Maybe being a Grandma is make me more emotional? Who knows. I was a psychologist early in life and totally agree with Data10 about the worth of these things.
The phone call question was amusing. Doesn’t everyone hate using the phone now? At the least, I don’t know anyone under 50 who would not say that.
But I was always that way. Even in the old corded phone days, I never, ever talked on the phone with friends. Never. My mom used to call me once/week in college/newly married, and finally I asked her to stop. I just dreaded it - and not because it was her!
I was always ENTJ during my corporate career. But after leaving that 15+ years ago and later returning to a different career I understand these changes and think they are fairly accurate. Especially when you drill down and see no real extremes in the subcategories. I’m definitely less extraverted and assertive than in my early career. And feel I’m more empathetic and intuitive.

It would be great if these junk science “tests” were just for fun, but a lot of companies actually use them for hiring and evaluations
Advocate
INFJ-A
Apparently, my personality type is rare - which may be why no one else here is one (yet).
Mediator—INFP
Enneagram 9
Libra
I am nothing if not consistent
Same as my husband - he was the only one at his well known high-tech company in management that was this personality - married to an ENTJ (now I have morphed to ENFJ) made him feel like he was always at work
ISFP-A Assertive Adventurer. LOL
Advocate
INFJ-T
Me to a “t”.
ESTJ - Executive
Executives are representatives of tradition and order, utilizing their understanding of what is right, wrong and socially acceptable to bring families and communities together. Embracing the values of honesty, dedication and dignity, people with the Executive personality type are valued for their clear advice and guidance, and they happily lead the way on difficult paths. Taking pride in bringing people together, Executives often take on roles as community organizers, working hard to bring everyone together in celebration of cherished local events, or in defense of the traditional values that hold families and communities together.
Demand for such leadership is high in democratic societies, and forming no less than 11% of the population, it’s no wonder that many of America’s presidents have been Executives. Strong believers in the rule of law and authority that must be earned, Executive personalities lead by example, demonstrating dedication and purposeful honesty, and an utter rejection of laziness and cheating, especially in work. If anyone declares hard, manual work to be an excellent way to build character, it is Executives.
I was this as well
INFP-T Mediator
INFP-T Mediator here too. Pretty sure that’s what I got last time I took this too. My oldest got really into personality test a few years ago and had us all take a bunch of them.
The first time I took a Myers-Briggs was 30+ years ago at 18. Since then I have undergone a very long one in a class, a shorter one for a job, and this one today (with a few more in between.) Every single version I have always been the exact same type, so I am not one who changes types day-to-day or when the questions are tweaked. The description is always spot on as well.
INTJ all the way. On this test, INTJ-A.
I-80%
N-80%
T- 59% (I have mellowed with age. It was more than 80% at 18)
J-79% (Also mellowed, at 18 it was 99%)
So for me, Myers Briggs was the only personality test that ever really made sense. It was helpful for me to read a book on it in college and to understand my husband and children better, none of whom are anything like INTJ. I guess not many women used to be INTJ either (don’t know if that has changed as times change.)
