Personality Types "Test"

I had to do this for a (dumb - for the work purpose, dumb) work ice breaker activity. It asks a series of questions that takes less than 10 minutes. For once, felt the questions were actually worthwhile and not vague (for me).

And for once, I thought the results were pretty spot on for me.

Thought it might be fun if you have 10 minutes to spare to see if others felt it captured YOU.

My results:

DEFENDER
ISFJ-A
“The Defender is an unassuming, hardworking personality type that craves order and stability. Defenders always show up for their loved ones, aiming to never let anyone down. But they also have a hard time putting themselves first and are sometimes left feeling quietly frustrated, unappreciated, and burnt out.”

Traits : Introverted – 82%, Observant – 76%, Feeling – 64%, Judging – 74%, Assertive – 64%

I’m definitely introverted and don’t seek out groups. I have always felt I’m very observant of others and can “read” people well. I can be emotional but I can also set that aside when needed for a crisis. I could definitely be more assertive.

I’m also a Defender. These ones made me laugh…

You often make a backup plan for a backup plan!
What about the backup plan to the backup plan to the backup plan? You think I’m kidding?!

You avoid making phone calls! This 1000%!!!

Architect, ha (kind of ironic since I think of architects and structural engineers as polar opposites - I know this is a different use of the word, though).

INTJ-T

“Architects are imaginative and strategic thinkers, with a plan for everything.”

79% Introverted
54% Intuitive
72% Thinking
56% Judging
65% Turbulent (turbulent individuals are self-conscious and sensitive to stress. They feel a sense of urgency in their emotions and tend to be success-driven, perfectionistic, and eager to improve.) - yep

“The Architect is a rare, but very capable, personality type, full of contradictions. Architects strive hard to be, do, and achieve more to escape the all too common (for the rest of society, that is) clutches of mediocrity. But they don’t always know the best way to go about distinguishing themselves on their own terms.”

I have never not been INFP, and this test has been as ISFP—an adventurer!

Interesting for me to do this as I’ve not had a reason to for several years… and I’ve gone through some life changes that I see have made a difference in my approach to my personal and professional life. I’m much more “middle of the road or balanced” in some areas than I used to be.

Your personality type is:
Campaigner
ENFP-T
Campaigners are enthusiastic, creative, and sociable free spirits, who can always find a reason to smile.
61% Extraverted
65% Intuitive
63% Feeling
53% Prospecting
58% Turbulent

Protagonist- ENFJ - T during my career building years, I was always an ENTJ (as was 99% of the company) guess I have become bigger on feelings as I have aged and been a parent.

Forthright, love helping others and tend to have strong ideas and values. Appears I am in good company with Oprah, Barack Obama and John Cusack :slightly_smiling_face:

Absolutely can see all of this; they got me. That’s why my favorite jobs have been as analysts.

Logisticians are practical and fact-minded individuals, whose reliability cannot be
doubted.

It is, in most cases, about as useful and meaningful as phrenology.

But, because constancy is not my strong point, and there never was an online quiz that I could resist, my personality for today (tomorrow it may be different), is

Logician INTP-T.

I will repeat it tomorrow for manure and merriment.

Oh sure, it’s just for fun and conversation - and any one of us could change on a dime…but I also felt more than other inventories that this one had questions that I could actually choose an answer without thinking too hard or not feeling like I couldn’t really answer it!

I actually like to save my results change so I know I took a Meyers-Brigg that said I was ESTJ with EJ really only barely over the middle. This time I got ISTP-A “Virtuso”. The descriptions seemed more likely. It put me down as a engineer/tinkerer type (hi @MaineLonghorn !) I hate making phone calls, but in most of my life I have learned to imitate an extrovert. I hadn’t seen the last aspect of the test before and have to admit it’s mostly true, “Assertive individuals are self-assured, even-tempered, and resistant to stress. They refuse to worry too much and tend to be self-confident when striving to achieve goals.” Definitely correct about my faults as well. Maybe I was just more honest today. BTW I am also one of those people who hates making phone calls.

Lord love a duck. “Adventurer”…ROFL. Nope. Not even remotely. I can’t think how my answers could possibly have led to that conclusion.

So apparently you and I should switch jobs!

There are many serious problems with Meyers Briggs type personality tests. The typing was created by a writer and her daughter who had no background in psychology. Psychologists use a different type of personality testing for both research and practice. Meyers Briggs testing has no validation of accuracy or meaning in results. Different Meyers Briggs testing websites ask a different series of questions, which are mostly whatever the author of the website happens to think reflects the personality types. You might get one personality type on if testing on website X and a different personality type if testing on website Y. This particular website seems to add a 5th dimension (Assertive/Turbulent) that I have not seen before and expect has even less validity tha the rest of the test. The testing can be amusing, but problems arise when people use them for more than amusement. For example, some organizations have used Meyers Briggs for work hiring/firing/organization type decisions. That said, my results are below.

Personality type : Architect (INTJ-A)
Traits : Introverted – 90%, Intuitive – 59%, Thinking – 91%, Judging – 71%, Assertive – 72%
Role : Analyst
Strategy : Confident Individualism

It can be lonely at the top. As one of the rarest personality types – and one of the most capable – Architects (INTJs) know this all too well. Rational and quick-witted, Architects pride themselves on their ability to think for themselves, not to mention their uncanny knack for seeing right through phoniness and hypocrisy. But because their minds are never at rest, Architects may struggle to find people who can keep up with their nonstop analysis of everything around them.

I haven’t seen easy to understand info about what the letters mean - so “INTJ” or whatever - any one know what each individual letter stands for??

Logistician. ISTJ-A (I’ve ALWAYS come out IS/NTJ on every Myers-Briggs test I’ve ever taken.)

94% Introverted
55% Observant
71% Thinking
88% Judging
86% Assertive

Critical and data analysis has been my game, not that I enjoyed any of it.
