Thank you for your help. If I can drove the conclusion; people who don’t have enough money for the good college have no prosperity in taking community college, because after finishing community college there is no chance to find a job, as I would like to. As I have no money I have only chance to ask for financial help, but in that case I would have to have great grades and academicals status. As I have neither of that there is no prospective for me. Thank you a lot for your help and your inputs.

I live in a small city, so lots of international students get jobs after they’re done with college. Not awesome jobs, not awful jobs either - just regular jobs. They went to university and got degrees, and most of them have their Masters/PhD.

If I were you, I’ll come to the U.S. with the intention of looking better to employers back home. In most countries, a U.S. education earns you more money. So, why don’t you get into university here, do well, get your Masters/PhD? Apply for jobs, if you don’t succeed in getting any, then go back home and earn good money. I don’t know why so many people are so crazy about staying in the U.S., it’s not perfect. GO BACK HOME.

How are your scores academically? Have you taken the SATs/TOEFL?

Your ■■■■■■■■ needs more research . . . usually its the other way around Femiluv.

i agree with you 100% on this front. People have to stop being obsessed with staying in the US. I think maybe because the standard of living is better compared to several countries but you could attain that standard of living elsewhere

I’m not talking about what it usually is, I’m talking about what it is where I live. I live in North Dakota and if you know anything about the U.S economy, then you should know that despite the recession, ND’s economy is still booming. Employers are looking for people to work, there are jobs everywhere.

International students can get jobs after their first degree, it depends on where they live. I don’t know one international student in my city who has gone back to their home country after their done with school.

^ you don’t get it. finding a job is not an issue; the h-1b visa is. finding employment is very easy, but there is a limit to the number of h-1b visas that are issued each year. even if the employer agrees to hire you, you’re still going to have to leave or get relocated to an office in another country if you can’t get a h-1b.

Femiluv, I think the OP’s problem is that he or she can barely afford community college, and a community college degree is not sufficient to qualify for a work visa. Finances seem to be the #1 issue here.

depr91, you may have noticed that Femiluv was specifically referring to Master’s and PhD holders. They are in a much better position visa-wise than visa applicants with a Bachelor’s degree only. And I fully believe that there are plenty of jobs out there for people with advanced degrees.

Companies in North Dakota who hire international students? LOL LOL LOL

barium sssshhh you really dont understand what is going on. Affirming support to Femiluv is like affirming support to ■■■■■■■■. Femiluv is the same character as Luthervan that I argued with

He is trying to claim that undergrad schools in the UK are better than schools in the US. He is just trying to make himself credible before he does so lol.

Weelllllllllllll

I fully agree with Luthervan that the academic standards at European universities are higher than the standards at American universities. That does not mean that American universities may not offer an education that’s more valuable than that of European universities.

Overall the US is much more flexible than Europe. If a student would rather focus on football than academics, he/she can do that and still graduate with a B- average. In Europe that same student would probably be failing most of his exams. On the other hand, the US also allows motivated students to advance and specialize more quickly than European universities.

Does this stance make me a ■■■■■ too?

LOL, no. Yours is one opinion especially if you are not aware that grade inflation in British schools is the same as the US or even more. only 15-20% of the people in the UK get less than a second class upper. Go figure.

I have less problems with the fact that he is a ■■■■■. I actually know the identity of the ■■■■■ because he followed me from another forum so that he could basically cause trouble. Its way more serious than you think it is. I would not be calling someone out if they were not. Femiluv is basically stalking me across forums.

I am not asking opinions on this matter- I just want to point out that his posts are driven by personal interest to validate his british degree lol. Anyhoo, I am out.

Even a quick look at femiluv’s old posts and he has already let the cat out of the bag

I am really sorry to hijack this thread, but I would like to respond to the UK vs US thing.

At the private American college I am attending it’s literally impossible to earn a grade below a B- unless you try. The lowest grade I ever got was a B, and I only submitted 2/3 of the work for the class! At my old German university I would have been lucky to get a D after not submitting work, and something tells me that British universities would not look quite as favorable on the situation either. I have observed similar grading standards at an Ivy League institution. Students get Bs for doing a minimum of work, and the only way to fail a class is to do none of the work at all. I remember failing being much easier than that in Europe.

I also looked over Femiluv’s other posts and saw nothing out of the ordinary. If anything, the argument you had with him on the other thread made you look like a ■■■■■.

I don’t know what’s going on between the two of you, but I would ask you not to defame another poster who contributes valuable comments. We can talk again if he/she actually started ■■■■■■■■.

You could post in the other thread- no need to hijack the forum.

"I also looked over Femiluv’s other posts and they looked like well-informed posts. If anything, the argument you had with him on the other thread made you look like a ■■■■■. "

Really:
"@ Sefago
LMAO @ u. . . omg. U don’t even know the meaning of the word. I thought your illiteracy stopped at Nairaland, I was clearly wrong lol "

You still dont understand what is going on lol. This guy has been stalking me for at least 6 months now lol.

Well informed posts that could be gotten from a google search to claim you are from Minot state in North Dakota or somewhere silly like that.

Ok, he could go on with his post lol. It does not really matter, but you would quickly notice a pattern in which he tells people to go to UK schools lol. Thats funny for someone who goes to school in North Dakota

he prolly would tone down on it because I called him out.

Well, I am attending a liberal arts college but I would advise college applicants against LACs. That makes me a hypocrite but not a ■■■■■.

You still dont get. I think if someone was stalking you . . . you would not find this funny. And I dont blame you for not affirming since you are not aware of anything. But whatevs.

Back to topic- Femiluv is free to post away and build credibility

Is he stalking you in any other way than replying to your forum posts?

hmm outside CC yes, are you a moderator?

No, unfortunately I am not a mod :(

I am just trying to understand what’s going on, because you are obviously very upset. (Seriously, look at today’s posts again in a few days. You might be surprised.)

I guess I am wondering if said poster just enjoys provoking you (on CC or other forums), or if there’s something more serious going on. In the former case, it would seem that ignoring him and/or taking a break from posting might solve the problem. Arguing with him or about him certainly doesn’t - ■■■■■■■■ is only fun if people take notice. If there’s something more serious going on, well, then you need more help than a moderator can provide.

I don’t know what’s going on here, but I do hope that the situation gets resolved. Good luck!
