Could any of you who have taken this course recommend a professor for it. There is Kelly, Kilcoyne, Braman, and a few others. Also to anyone who has taken this course, is the difficulty of the course pretty much the same across sections or does it vary?
thanks

I personally took Professor Kelly for perspectives my freshman year and thoroughly enjoyed the class. The course is relatively similar across the different sections, but as with every professor, the course gets taught differently. Professor Kelly’s course is more writing intensive as opposed to reading as with most professors. Through the year, I believe we wrote about 10 papers, with the final paper being a 10 page paper. This may seem overwhelming, but it’s hella better than having to read 100+ pages of philosophy/theology between classes. Kelly usually assigns 30-40 pages of reading in between classes. If you decide to take Kelly, make sure you stay with him because he will try to weed people out of the class by assigning a ton of work before the add/drop period. After that period, his class is very manageable.

Confirmed, Kelly is the man. He is a good lecturer and I liked his class. The only thing I wasn’t completely prepared for was the fact that a significant percentage of your grade was participation.

Are the written tests pretty similar across the board or are some teachers harder than others?
