Petroleum Engineering Master

Hi everyone, im new to this forum! I have some questions about petroleum engineering as a career path.

So, im now doing my BTech in MechEng and i want to be a petro guy

  1. First of all. Is it still worth it? I have heard that now with the low oil prices, companies dont hire many people. Consider im gonna finish in the next 2 years (maybe things will change). Should i go for something else? Like what?
  2. Should i go for my Master in Europe or i have more chances in Australia, USA and Canada? I can only access EU (im greek btw). I dont have a visa for USA. Ofc i can study there but after that ill be forced to leave (i doubt that someone will hire me without a visa). Aus and Canada maybe?
  3. So for Europe: UK is first (Brexit though) with Imperial (very difficult to get accepted there), Aberdeen, Heriot Watt, Robert Gordon and Leeds. I also know french and i have heard that the IFP school is very good. Norway with Stavanger and NTNU is a big player too, but i dont know the language (ofc the program will be in english, but will local companies hire me?) Delft is also a choice in Holland (again very difficult). DTU in Denmark too. And Montanuniversität Leoben in Austria... Any ideas?

English is not my mother language, so ignore any mistakes
Thank you in advance!!!
