I have a chihuahua puppy and she pretty much has to come with us on the trip from FL. My golden is w/ neighbors but I don't really trust anybody with the chi. Would it be crazy to bring her with us during the parent meetings, dinner, and whatnot? She is fine w/ staying in her carrier. Also, when I watched prior move-in days on youtube I thought I saw small dogs.

This is not allowed. Non-service animals will also not be allowed in the dorms. Housing staff will not allow you to enter.

Basically, unless you can find a hotel that is cool with it, and you plan on leaving the dog in the hotel room the whole trip, no.

It will probably be sweltering on move in day, and am certain they won’t permit a dog in the dorms even if it is cute(I bet it really is!) and in a carrier. Can you see if the person who sold you the puppy would be willing to take care of it while you are gone?

Dogs are allowed on campus, and I am not sure if they are allowed in the buildings, I dont think u will be given crap about it, my faculty head of house in Sutherland had a little dog, and I am pretty sure I saw it in the dorm on the first floor a few times.

thanks everybody, still pretty unsure…

At first I was excited (5:13), but I guess those are just the staff pets.

Honestly, you’ll be fine. Just have the dog on a leash and discreetly enter the building with your dog. Just don’t plan to have him/her in the building all day. When I was moving in and out this year my mom’s yorkie was in and out of my dorm room.

Ya that dog was my faculty head of houses dog, ya I mean u can bring the dog if u absolutely must, just keep it in the car while u are doing the actual moving in of the stuff, or have one of you outside with it
