No need for any airplane as it’s an envelope, but yes, 2-5 mail days makes sense.
I am just wondering if the letters will be mailed out to cities in Philadephia or other cities except for Pittsburgh, are they going to be delivered through some airline?
they just sent out an email. didn’t get in 
me neither. I only know one person that got in and he was legit insane. my friends and I got rejected
just outta curiousity, what were your guys’ stats/ec’s/awards and did you get in or not? i was 1500 psat, a bajillion ap’s, straight a’s, great recs, probably good essays but pretty much no awards and very little science related ec’s
35 act/1400 psat (not good lol/and like barely any worthy stem ec’s. One of my essays made my mom cry it was that touching and meaningful but like I guess it wasn’t enough. My ec’s were good (created a business, do graphic design for a company and make stickers off of my designs, other stuff) but not science related and no awards either. I did research on e coli and determined it’s pH range (super extensive) too and mentioned that in my ec section but idk if they cared. I’m an IB diploma candidate and take like every science ap/ib known to man. I think the fact that I didn’t have amazing stats and my ec’s weren’t science enough along with no awards held me back. Lowkey salty but i wasn’t attached to it so 
just upset that I lost an opportunity
My daughter was chosen as an alternate. I guess if someone declines she may get in.

They didn’t indicate how many alternates were chosen…she has to submit a form to remain on alternate list and will find out by May 8th if there is a vacancy.

PSAT 1490
SAT Biology 800
SAT Math II 790 (freshman year)
All As in all her classes: She is currently enrolled in AP Calc BC, AP Physic C and AP Chemistry (in addition to 3 other APs). She took AP Bio and AP Calc AB as a sophomore (got 5s in both). Did some science research but no science awards. Her main EC is ballet.
Decisions are out and my son got in. Good like to everybody who is still waiting for decision or was put on a waitlist!
