<p>I'm torn between putting Bio or Pharm Sci as my major for Irvine. I do want to become a pharmacist but I'm open to other routes so I'm cool with either one. </p>
<p>I hear bio is not longer impacted though I wonder if it would be better to risk taking a specialized major (like pharm sci) and miss out on a seat? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm</p>

<p>Well general biology won’t cover pharmaceuticals.</p>
<p>You can, however, take bioengineering/biomedical engineering. Some pharmaceuticals accept these engineers for research & development.</p>
<p>Or you can always do a double major. Since Bio & Pharm will most likely overlap, it will be less work (in my opinion).</p>
