Hi,
I'm looking into possibly becoming a pharmacist, I know that it can be a program that ranges from 6 to 8 years, but I have a question about 6 year programs. For those programs, I know you can complete the pre-pharm pre-requisites in two years at any higher education school. So my question is can I complete these at community college and transfer to a pharmacy school somewhere in the country in the future after two years? Is this possible?

Our local community college offers pre-pharmacy, however it would be hard to match the classes to various colleges for transfer reasons. It definitely transfers to specific colleges, but my concern would be whether you can make the grade when applying to the pharmacy program those schools. My daughter also wants to be a pharmacist, but we are a little leary of the transfer concept. The community college says to check with the school you plan on transferring to. How can you do this since you will need to apply to more than one?
