I'm not sure where to post this...but how does pharmacy compare to medicine? I'm choosing between UCLA and UCB and I'm curious to know what skills are needed for pharmacy in comparison to medicine. Is it as competitive and difficult as medicine is? Thanks for the help!

As difficult and competitive as medicine? no. Difficult still? Yes, and it depends on which field of pharmacy you are planning to pursue. Here is a website with a variety of different pharmacy career options. The choice of UCLA and Berkeley should make no difference as long as you take the prerequisite courses and do well. Pharmacy skills would be similar to medicine as pharmacy is about critical thinking and application of therapeutic knowledge in physiology; however, it's all about the choice of your subject material and how you want to put yourself in the healthcare field. Do you want to be an academic, clinical, industry, research, or community pharmacist practitioner? You have plenty of time to investigate the field.
