Hey, it’s been awhile since I posted here but hopefully, someone here has some insight. I’ve been considering getting a PhD in Marketing. Always liked research and investigative work, and education has been a passion of mine. I’ve been working in Digital Marketing for 7 years and I’ve heard that grad school has a shelf life if you want to work in academics: the longer you wait before getting a degree, the harder the road for tenure.
My undergrad stats are problematic however to say the least…a 2.65 GPA is definitely not great. My GRE is a 313 and I don’t know how that stacks up for grad school…do you guys think I have a shot anywhere or I should just stick with my career and never bother getting a PHD?
Also, does the actual school enrolled in matter too much or is it more the research once earning the degree?
