PHEAA and Divorced Parents

I'm towards the last step of completing my PHEAA and their asking me who I reside with, the dates I've resided with my mom and dad, and for the addresses of both my mom and dad. I have a really confusing situation and need help filling it out.

So my dad has custody of me but I have always been going back and forth from my mom's to my dad's. Last year, my dad gave up his apartment since he couldn't afford it and we both stayed at my mom's, both changing our addresses to my mom's address, which is the address I am under for all my financial aid (and also the address my dad is under for any information I filled out about him previously). A few months ago, my dad moved in with my uncle and he changed his address again. I, however, am still living at my mom's house. Also, I am under my dad's taxes, not my mom's.

So would it be okay to say that I currently live with my mom and give the dates I previously resided with my dad, even though I am under my dad's taxes? I just want things to make sense but also still be able to get the most out of financial aid. I was thinking about saying that I live at my uncle's with my dad or saying that he still lives at my mom's. Should I just stick with the truth?

Stick with the truth. You aren’t the first person in this kind of situation to file this paperwork. The people at PHEAA will be able to sort things out.
