<p>Anyone else read His Dark Materials? Anyone else excited for the upcoming Golden Compass movie? </p>
<p>I'm pumped, I loved that series.</p>
<p>OMG I LOVE HIS DARK MATERIALS. I just finished rereading the Golden Compass and I am trying to finish the other two by the end of the summer. I am SUPER excited for the movie (although it probably won't be as good). I will probably have to go see it myself though, because my friends make fun of me for reading those books. :(</p>

<p>I'm slightly apprehensive about the movie, because movies based on books are usually not as good and sometimes they change things...and i'm wondering how they're going to do the third one without getting attacked by religious fundamentalists</p>
<p>yeah, and apparently they're not mentioning religion in the movies. WTH?!? that's the whole POINT of the books!! grrr...</p>
<p>but excellent choice of Nicole Kidman as Ms. Coulter</p>
