I REALLY want to go to Bowdoin- it feels like that extremely elusive perfect fit- and what initially caught my eye was the philosophy department. I noticed on Cappex that only 6 or 7 graduate with it as their major- does Bowdoin have a good philosophy program? I know this won’t make or break my love for Bowdoin, but I’ve always loved to study the great works of philosophy.

Bowdoin is ‘good’ in everything. They invest in each program with dedicated faculty and appropriate facilities. If you visit the website you’ll see students finding wonderful opportunities in the oddest of fields of study. This is the beautiful thing about a good liberal arts college. If this particular school seems attractive, don’t feel you will be limited by it’s size, keep moving forward with zeal. good luck.

What a wonderful answer! I hoped that Bowdoin would somehow hand me opportunities to advance, and what do you know? I feel like if I stepped onto campus anytime soon, I’d be moved to tears at the perfection.

I thought I’d found my perfect fit in Princeton, for so many reasons. But the more I read and hear about Bowdoin, it feels like the place was MADE for me, brick by brick.
