quitejaded, what are you doing instead?

philosophy is easy. i never thought that plato, spencer, berkeley, spinoza, leibnize, etc. could so easy to understand. now, classics, THAT's hard. theology is also a killer...i wouldn't want to read the old testament anyway for leisure, but for study....

Philosophy is the only thing I've ever had to withdraw from. I was going to fail the class if I had continued.

I've managed my way through various math, science, English, foreign language, music, gym, etc. courses without problems over the years I've been in school. Some were easier than others but they all came eventually. Philsophy (I was in Ethics) never did.

Part of the reason is because I don't like to pick apart the why of things. I'm a strong Christian and I won't believe anything else. I was shot down by the teacher when I used the Bible as an example. That, coupled with a poor showing on my first quiz, led me to drop the class almost as quickly as I had signed up for it...but not quick enough to avoid a W.

I'm taking a religion class to fill that requirement instead. I'd much rather hear about what I believe than be stuck with a bunch of non-religious people who try to disprove the Word.
