Photo Sent- Too Casual?

I was invited for an interview for BA/MD program a while ago. I was asked to send a headshot of myself as fast as possible. I ended up taking a picture wearing a hoodie (and you can clearly tell its a hoodie) in front of a non-white background. I was going through my emails and I cringed when I saw it. WHAT WAS I THINKING. I have been reading forums online, and seems like these pictures are actually supposed to be professional. Do you think this can hurt my chances?

Will that exclude you from an interview? Doubt it. But I can imagine when adcom are going through hundreds of files with people dressed up with nice background pictures and a picture of you in a hoodie, it won’t exactly look the most professional image you wish to convey.

I mean if it is a good picture, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just make sure to dress up and look professional when you interview!
