Your pictures are beautiful!

My D’s cat, Kona, has a bunny friend that comes by and sits outside the window nearly every early evening - Kona and the bunny seem to have conversations I’m not privy to. I need to get a pic of the two of them, they hang out for long periods of time at the window (Kona has a hammock at the window and usually has her tush in the hammock and her front paws on the windowsill). This one is Kona looking to see if her bunny friend is there yet.

We haven’t had any “afters” this spectacular in awhile. The third was taken by an upstairs neighbor. Can you find the Chinese lanterns?

@Hoggirl Can you share the location, at least approximately?

Would love to know where I could go to experience such skies!

Please note that we don’t get these every night! Which was what my mil seemed to think on her most recent visit where she complained that she got no good sunsets during her week-long visit. :joy:

The last “afters” I posted on my Facebook timeline that were not quite as spectacular (but close) as these was May 13th.

A few shots from our drive up and down the west coast. My four year old car had never been more than 100 miles from home, and this trip was well over 2500 miles. My MPG went from 23.3 to 31.1. It was more driving than was comfortable, but there were some great sights - not able to capture all by camera while on the road.

Here’s Cannon Beach on a misty overcast day - alas, no sunset to be seen.

My girl Callie and the view from the Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque. I couldn’t post any of the petroglyphs bc they all had my family members in the photos. We lived about a half a mile a way from this part of the monument for about 10 years in the ‘90s (before it was a National Monument) and I only recall going hiking here once!

It was a nice day, probably cooler than the NW right now!

This is my favorite picture from a trip to Cannon Beach about 12 years ago. My Daughter and I - she’s a rising college junior now.

Love this!

Looks very serene and even hopeful. Nice photo!

Son in Seattle does not have AC inside his apartment, but the halls and lobby do. So he left his door open and used a fan to pull air inside. Kept that part of the apartment under 90 (hall was at 83).

Tomorrow he is going into the office to work for the first time since the pandemic.

I took my niece to Balboa Park today and wandered through the rose garden.

I think I can smell those roses! Lovely.

Many of them do smell delicious. My niece was busy on her phone instead of stopping to smell the roses :rose:. So I took advantage of her visit to enjoy myself.

Son pinged us from Guam last night. He got there safely after two days of delay due to Army transport plane (777) repairs and stops in Alaska and Honolulu to pick up other units. He says it’s hot and muggy. Good thing he sports a tropical Army haircut.

He says that officers posted here refer to it as “great value Hawaii.”

Tell him to kill a few million snakes while he’s there! Google Guam snakes. Apparently the densest population of snakes (non native) in the world.
