Thanks I was afraid that I startled her. Quietly shut the door and mom came back and proceeded to eat the entire garden😀

At least the deer aren’t eating the garden this morning…

oh dear! that is wild!
please tell me the bears are at a vacation spot! (and if not, i’d love to hear where you live; if bears are regular; and how you’ve learned to live with them. That is just crazy to me!)

The key is to make sure you only leave the house with people that are slower then you.

This is actually a NYC suburb (30 miles from Manhattan). Bears are a bit of a frequent nuisance but tend to mind their own business. Everyone locks their garbage. Only time of year it becomes a challenge is Halloween when they like to smash and

eat pumpkins.

This was last years pumkin eater.

Occasionally you will hear a neighbors air horn go off to scare them off. That only means they may be coming your way so time to get the dog in.

See that top right Rocky knob? I was up there today. We accidentally took the way they said was the hard way. I got my rock climbing adventure minus the ropes, lol. The below picture is the easy way. We came down that way

I don’t think you could get a kitty to take this pose if you tried - she seems either quite content, or possibly, broken? Same kitten that used to fit in the bucket in a previous photo I posted. They grow so quickly!

Our last adventure of the week. We went to what felt like the middle of nowhere to hike (near Baxter state park) to some ice caves. The caves were a bit anticlimactic, but the overlook was beautiful!

In the first picture is that person going deeper into that crevice???

Yes. That would be me. I didn’t go too much further in there. Past there you had to climb a rope down. And I didn’t see any flat floor and everything was slippery. There was some ice, but not a lot.

I know it doesn’t look like much, but D20 and I are waiting to see a “24 hour musical” at a nearby University. This is the first time we’ve been in a theatre since January 2020!!! The students get 24 hours to learn lines, lyrics, do sets and create costumes. Everyone is masked, so :crossed_fingers:

These two are 8 year old sisters from the same litter. They don’t normally get along well enough to sit like this.

DD started a job at an amusement park today, and I loved the way the wooden coaster looked from the employee parking lot. Also, it was a bit of a stressful week for my other D. We went for a walk in the park and came across a timely message.

I scared off all the humming birds, but this little guy didn’t even notice me.

The Golden Gate Bridge is impressive in itself. Also seeing smoke from one of CA’s forest fires sets off a whole 'nother feeling that is tough to put in words (either River or Dixie looking at a fire map - not sure which).
