Hi all,
I'm looking for some sort of ranking of biological/physical anthropology PhD programs, or even just a list of schools that have good programs in this field.

Also, is getting into a field like this similar to putting myself in a super competitive humanities-like track?
(I realize all academia is very competitive, but i've noticed a definite difference between the sciences and the humanities)

To be perfectly honest, the "rank" shouldn't matter. You should instead be asking yourself where that really awesome researcher who published that one article that made you want to go into this field is currently teaching. If you don't know where your intellectual hero is or if you don't even have one you should start reconsidering your justifications for applying to grad school in this particular field.

I understand what you're saying, and i do have that one place, with that one professor. (Duke BAA)
I was just having trouble finding more places to look around, as I can't really expect to get into my dream school. I appreciate the help.

Well - you don't have to go to the master to learn her creed. You could find out where this person's former students currently teach. They will probably have similar interests to your dream adviser. If they're not teaching anywhere good then there might be a problem with your dream adviser and you might want to rethink your strategy in that sense.
