What kind of physical prep are you other appointees doing right now getting ready for plebe summer?
Also I am going to try to be on the Infantry Skills Team next year so I have an even bigger hurdle to cross so I just wanted to see what other people are doing to get ready.
My PT Schedule:

Running
Mon/Tues/Thurs/Friday/Saturday: 4-6 miles

Monday/Wednesday/Friday:
Weight Workout and
BUDS Warning Order PT Schedule(6x30 pushups, 6x35 situps, 10x10 pullups, 6x20 dips)

Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday
(broken up into 5 sets)
100 pull ups
300 pushups
300 situps
300 flutter kicks
squats

Right now I'm in XC skiing and on top of that I'm doing the Armstrong pull-up program (instead of pull ups I'm doing lateral pull downs and increasing the weight each week instead of reps). In a week (when track practice starts) I'm going to add the accompanying crunch workout.

Make sure in your excitement to get to plebe summer that you don't over-train and end up with stress fractures. They all say you can't possibly be fit enough or tough enough for it to be easy but.....if you get injured it will make it much tougher. Keep working out and listen to your body too.

One thing they stressed to BGOs to inform our candidates -- keep up your workouts through June. There are apparently many cases of h.s. athletes who train like crazy/usual through April. Then, in May, comes the end or organized h.s. sports, "senior projects," and other events that take away from working out.

Then, in June, comes graduation, "beach week," and other events where workouts slip. What ends up happening is that the person who is totally fit in April is totally out of shape by I-Day. No need to overdo -- just keep it steady and keep it up.

I am going through the Naval Academy Workout Book, co-authored by Stew Smith. It is basically the workouts they do for plehe summer, its a six week progressively harder program, so I just keep repeating it after i get done. I would really recommend it actually, its the perfect thing for getting ready for Plebe Summer specifically....
