Physics B

What are yall doing for Physics B AP test? Are yall just memorizing the formulas? How much will that help, you think?

PR review book practice exams, thats about it

Would knowing the formulas be enough?

you gotta know how to apply them, dont bother memorizing too complex ones because they generallly dont ask those on the MC, and on the part IIs you get formula sheets. KNow the ins and outs of all the easy formulas

Cuase I have Barrons...and I feel like I'll I'm getting out of the book are the formulas....so I think I'll memorize them, but other than that, I have no idea what I'm doing. :-</p>

curve is huge from what i gather, youll be fine

I hope so, how many do you have to get right to get a 5?

Yesterday night I got home from a party at like 1 AM and my Dad made me take one then, I got a 28/70! keep in mind that this was 1am after a huge tennis meet

my teacher said last yr it was like 54 percent of the total raw score of 180 (90 from MC and 90 from free response) in order to score a 5, which doesnt seem that difficult

I have the official 2004 released exam. The breakdown:

115-180
91- 114
63-90
49- 62
0-48

Ugh I'm so going to get a one. At our school, the physics motto is 'aim high, for for a three.' Which is strange because our percentage of kids getting 5 ons BC is almost 100%....

Dont learn the formulas, learn the concepts. You are less likely to forget those during the test. Like the resistance formula, if you know the concept then its easy to write the formula. The same for almost every other one.

But if you know the formulas, is it more helpful on the exam.

OUr teacher is like if you have an A in his class, except the max a 3. I have a B-.... I'm scared. His class isn't easy either, so I don't get it....

i got the baron's today

my teacher makes her class harder then the physics test, but if you do CONSISTENT 30 min review/night you will get a 4/5

my advice:

get the barrons book and you will notice that there are 26 topics. Do a topic a night on weekdays and multiple topics on weekends. This will yield a 4/5

in the barrons book a topic has an explanation, of which you should take notes followed by some MC problems
