Physics C: Self Study

Hi, i am currently a sophomore and am trying to figure out what science classes to take for the next two years. A little background about me, in 8th grade I took AP Physics B and got a 3 on the exam (could have done better) and I am now taking AP Calculus BC and will take the exam this year. It is to my understanding that with a solid calculus background and a pretty good physics background I should be able to self study Physics C but would you recommend it? If I do take it would you recommend doing mechanics and E/M next year or to spread them out over 2 years? I know that I would have to put more time into E/M but I have a pretty busy schedule, is it doable? Also AP Chem at my school is really hard, and would you recommend taking that, before or after Physics? And if I were to self study, how would I go about doing that? (Textbook, review book, online??)

Any thoughts you have are appreciated. Thank you very much.

Do not self-study chemistry. Just don’t. Especially since they’re changing the curriculum and standards for it next year. (It’s far too late to self-study it this year, too, unless you’re like a chemistry genius) Sparknotes has some good things, but there are some errors mixed in. No idea when you should take chem though, lol :p

From what I’ve heard, mechanics is much easier to study for than e/m. If you have a busy schedule, I would spread it out over two years. However, it also depends on how good of a work ethic you have. Some resources for physics are MIT’s OCW and Hippocampus.
