Physics II?

<p>What is this class about? </p>

<p>Is it specifically about certain fields of physics, like electromagnetism or thermodynamics?</p>

<p>You can learn more about any course at UA by searching the current catalog (or you can also google the course name or number along with UA and syllabus to often find more details). Two introductory physics courses are offered at UA (106 is calc based and 102 is not calc based). Thermodynamics is a separate course covered within the College of Engineering in different departments depending on your major. It also included as a topic in various advanced Chem, Geology and Physics courses. </p>

<p>PH 102. General Physics II. 4 sem. hrs.
Lecture and laboratory. An introductory course including electricity and magnetism, optics, and modern physics. Degree credit can only be awarded for one of the following: PH 102, PH 106, or PH 126.
Prerequisite(s): PH 101 or PH 105 or PH 125.</p>

<p>PH 106. General Physics W/Calc II. 4 sem. hrs.
Lecture and laboratory. Introductory calculus-based course in classical physics, including electricity, magnetism, and optics. Degree credit can only be awarded for one of the following: PH 102, PH 106, or PH 126.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 126 or MATH 146; and PH 101 or PH 105 or PH 125.</p>
