Physics: In the Summer or during the year?

I'm hearing conflicting things about WashU's Physics courses, 117 and 197.

I have a really limited Physics background (didn't take AP), so I'm thinking about summer sessions. Has anyone heard about/taken Physics at WashU over the summer?

What are your suggestions?

I took the 197/198 series during the school year.

It’s a lot of homework, but you learn the material and the two professors are both great. They only offer 117 in the summer, and it’s one of the ta’s (grad students) that teach it, from what I know.

I’d just take the 190 series during the year.

(DO NOT take 117/118. They suck. The teachers are terrible, and the classes themselves are terrible. You’ll learn the exact same material and more so in 197/198).

Thanks for your reply :3
