What work possibilities come with a physics major?

Millions, it's basically infinite, you can do A LOT!

From what I've heard, Physics majors can do just about anything, but it will help if you gear your non-physics electives / general ed. requirements towards some specific area you would like. idk, say... if you take economics and sociology for social sciences, a couple of courses in business math, etc., it would make it easier to move into jobs in finance, economics, etc. Alternatively, you could take some discrete math and programming classes, and then sell yourself as software professional more easily than if you had not taken such classes.
Taking these classes is more eye-candy than functional, though. As a physics major, you're going to have an excellent skill set and knowledge base after graduation, and should be able to find employment in most positions with all but the most bureaocratic firms.

I'm getting a BS in Physics with a Geophysics specialization. That'll help if I want to work at an energy company in downtown Houston. I definitely plan on going to graduate school as well.
