Hi..I am interested in Rice and I am planning on applying. I am interested in majoring in Physics, but as far as my minor goes, I am not sure if I would do math or philosophy--I love them both. Can I do that at Rice?? To major in physics and one of the other subjects???

Thanks

Well, you should note that Rice doesn’t actually offer minors in math or philosophy. That doesn’t stop you from taking classes in either of those fields, though, and Rice does encourage you to take courses satisfying a wide range of interests. Double-majoring is also a possibility, and I think physics and math is actually fairly easy in terms of the number of courses required. Physics and philosophy might be a little more troublesome, but it’s certainly possible. One recent alum I know was a Physics/Religious Studies double major.
