Hey, so the scores are out.

How were they?

i got 760M and 700P...

Hey, so the scores are out.

How were they?

i got 760M and 700P...

I also got a 700 physics…how is that? It doesn’t sound great to me with the huge curve, but…eh…

I didn’t take math this time, but I got a 760 Math II when I took it too :)

800p, 800m, 800c

Yes, CaliforniaDancer, it sure doesn’t with the curve, but what can we do lol.

Congrats kenhungkk!

Be happy–take that 700 score and run! Physics is very difficult. My S rec’d a 600 first time around and just improved it to 690. He’s satisfied and happy to have all testing behind him.

Thanks ELY!

Yes, Someone told me that anything above 650 is great.

800 Math II
800 Physics
580 French w/ listening. WHAT?!?!? I was getting around 730 on practice tests!!! I think I misbubbled - as in I skipped a question but forgot to skip a row on the answer sheet. Is there anything I can do about this?

I also got 700 Phy. My major doesn’t have to do much with science, and I don’t want Ivy, just top College like Vassar or COlby. Should I send my Phy score?

what is up with all of these 700s in physics?
i also got a 700! self-studied it with PR

is a score of 700 on physics going to keep us out of top-tier schools? (ivy, stanford, mit)

Personally, I think once you’ve hit 700 you’re in range for top schools. It depends whether you want to study something like engineering or physics.

650+ is good, just confirmed with a few universities…

I think for admissions, SAT 1 is a lot more crucial than SAT 2s [Please correct me if I’m wrong].

Jamespotterz7, while I am no admissions expert, I honestly dont see any harm in sending the score…

Ok let me put it this way regarding the SAT Physics:

If you get an 800 on SAT Physics, you know 1% of physics. Congratz.
If you know 1% of physics, you will by no means be successful in engineering or physics related major.
If you want to prove to a university that you know physics (esp schools like MIT, Caltech) then I suggest you do so by other means (ie a research project).

Just my 2 cents.

^
Same goes for every subject test. A SAT II is not meant to be the pinnacle achievement in that subject.

790 Physics I was hoping for an 800 but thats ok :-?

got a 700 math2 700 and che 710 in Physics.studied a day and a half thus having no time to even look at the covers of the SAT2 phy books. I won’t go to college unless and until I get 800’s.
