Physics UW

I have been accepted into the University of Washington-Seattle into pre-engineering. By Fall of 2017, I will have completed Calculus, Gen. Chem, and English. However, I need to take 2 quarters of Physics(121,122) to get into my department. I am set on Electrical Engineering as my future career and wanted your advice on the following matters:

1.) I’m in the university at this point. I will have an intro to physics class done before I go to the school. However, I need to take physics at UW. I have heard some good things and some terrible things about physics there. What is your advice on taking physics there? How difficult is it? Essentially, difficulty is subjective and after taking so many classes at Highline, I am used to dedicating hours to a subject daily to ensure success.

2.) If I go in Fall, my GPA starts over essentially. I am worried if I take my physics there, my GPA will not look too nice. Does this affect my chances of getting into my program? What can I do to get into the program despite physics’ difficulty?
