<p>I'm transferring to Cornell next fall and the only science background courses that I'll have left for my major are Physics 207 & 208. Has anyone taken these? How are they? I took AP Physics in hs but my teacher was a bio major and had no clue how to teach physics. Needless to say we bombed the AP...</p>
<p>I did not actually take these courses, but I do have some experience helping some of my less mathematically inclined friends. It is pretty much a basic mechanics->E&M sequence, fairly standard. They don't seem terribly hard, but will still require some work if you are not a physics person or don't have great intuition.</p>
<p>According to my friends these were not bad classes. If you don't like science or math, you might not enjoy it. Otherwise, I think that they are a good introduction to mechanics and electricity/magnetism. Physics is hard, but neither of these are known to be killer classes. I believe the median grade is usually around a B.</p>
