My daughter is interested in pursuing piano pedagogy as a career. Pedagogy is usually offered as a graduate degree, but Butler University offers an undergraduate program. We are also looking at Oberlin which offers a Piano Performance major with a pedagogy minor. She has no interest in performing professionally for a living, yet feels as if she needs a performance degree to thoroughly learn her instrument and piano repertoire. She has ruled out a music education degree as not offering piano instruction at a high enough level.

Does anyone know about the Butler program?
Do you have any advice about pedagogy programs?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
