I’m visiting OCU next week (I have been accepted already) and my voice teacher told me to do a sample lesson there. How do I pick a teacher to have one with? Do I just base it off of their bios on the website? I think its hard to find someone you jive with based on a short bio!
OCU typically assigns students to their voice studio based on their audition and you get that assignment mid-summer before your freshman year. From what I’ve seen from my D’s class, they do a fabulous job of matching students and teachers. You may want to talk to the music school and see who they would recommend for you for a sample lesson. All of the teachers are top notch but each has their own unique style and personality. Be aware right now who you can have a lesson with may be effected by teacher availability as the end of the school year fast approaches.
