Picture.

Columbia asks for an optional picture. Is there any point in submitting one? The only time I ever talked to an admissions officer was during a 4 university college session thingy during May of 2009, and Im sure they wont remember me. Is it a necessity to send one because usually optional means mandatory?

idk i was wondering the same thing…and if we do should it be a senior picture or a funny one?

i used my senior picture, but it wasn’t anything really super made-up and fancy, just me standing 8D doesn’t have to be too formal either,

if you talked to an admissions officer, just send the pic
you never know, maybe you mighta run into one in public.

I think sending one would help them look at your file in a more personal light. I would send one for this reason.

I just send a picture that I had taken with my friend, but cropped so I was the only one in it. Nothing fancy, or crazy, just me smiling. I don’t think they will hold it against you if you don’t send one, but as darkblademaster said, it will help them feel like they know you more personally.
