Is there a good place to find pictures of Cornell dorms? I searched but didn't find much.... Thanks

EDIT: Or, you can take a picture of your dorm and post it :)

I really hope you say that in a good way O_O

Those are some pictures from my freshman year. I lived in Mews and I had a double. The last one is in a mirror if you can't tell.

hey mrnova, we can't access the pics...it shows forbidden, u don't have permission to accesss it

they were 'forbidden' and I couldn't see them mrnova.

Copy and paste the link and it works

I have a question to anyone who is there: how long are the beds? Also, are they single, and if so, about how wide? I'm kind of tall, and might have trouble fitting in the bed if I can't lie diagonally.

It didn't work again for me. LOL. I went into IE and then highlighted and selected "copy link" then pasted into the adress bar. THEN it finally worked. Thanks for the tip moose.

Oh... Very messy, but they look nice!

Ok I'm 6' and I have just enough room to lie down straight. The beds are deffinitly single. They are not wide at all. The only way you fit two people reasonably in them is to be on top of each other heh, not neccessarly a bad thing. If you are very tall (I'd guess over 6'4-6'5?) your just kinda screwed I guess. No pun intended.

Yeah it is a bit messy. I'm not really that big of a slob actually. I really hated my room mate, we did not get along well at all. And he was a huge neat freak. It ****ed him off if I left my drawers open. So as a result I made sure to make as big a mess as possible.

I might be able to fit diagonally if I bend my knees. Thanks for the info!

What choices do you have for dorms? singles, and doubles only?

Depends on the dorm. As far as I know Mews and Court are all singles or doubles. However the townhouses have like 4 people or something (much bigger, it's like an apartment) and I had a friends in highrises and lowrises who even had triples. I seem to recall even hearing about quads (ick). I'm not really sure if Donlon or Dickson or the others go higher then doubles. You don't request anything higher then doubles, you just select a preference for singles or not. Obviously there are way less singles then there is desire for one, so even if you select single you probablly wont get one.

I'd be happy with a double . . i'd like a roomate

can some body guide me how to go about selecting my acco and when should one do the same

i mean...i would really prefer a single, but can i chose what room i want
also it should be close to the College of Engineering

Yeah I thought I wanted a roommate too. I put down not distracted by loudness, late person, neatness not a big deal. I got this snobby prick from the upper east side. He whent to sleep 10pm latest (even on most weeknights) and had his alarm set 7am every day (even on days when he didn't have class till the afternoon and on MOTHER*ING weekends). He couldn't tollerate any noise, was a selfish hypocritical **, and complained I was messy. I could go on and on about specifics, but suffice to say living with him sucked. I lived with a room mate one semester in my fraternity, but that was different because I got to pick him. I enjoyed that of course. I guess it's a toss up. It's terrible if you get a crappy one, awsome if you get a good one. If I could do it again, I would of picked a single though.

Can you pick a roomate? Say, if your friend gets accepted too?

Arjun: All the freshman dorms are on North Campus. No matter where you live, you're basically the same distance give or take 5 minutes. Either way, you're going to be on the farthest possible location on campus from the Engineering quad. Start hitting the gym and working on your legs lol.
