Sent applications to both (accepted at Pitt, still waiting for NU’s decision). But which school provides a better overall experience? I’m an intended biology major considering pre med or a research track. Frat life doesn’t really matter to me but a good party scene does. I want it to be there when I want it but not overwhelming. Which city provides more to do for students? Are co-ops at NU helpful for pre med? Will a med school consider them as relevant experience/research?
Visit them (if you haven’t already). Boston, imo, trumps Pittsburgh as a city. I’d imagine NU co-ops are helpful for any profession. Both are very good schools and as long as you have good grades, I wouldn’t worry about how a potential med school perceives them. Both are really awesome schools, and you’ll love it at either one. Of course, Northeastern may make the decision for you, but I don’t think you can go wrong at either one. Good luck!
I think they offer different experiences. I’d visit them both for sure.
Bottom line cost would be a factor of course.
I’d visit both. I’d take Boston over Pittsburgh any day, but both are good schools.
Good luck
