Has anyone toured? Recommended activities near the college? Thanks!
Hi! We took a mid-morning tour over the summer then went to lunch in Claremont Village at Bardot’s. There are a ton of restaurants in the area to choose from and lots of cute little shops. We also walked and drove around the other campuses to get a feel for how they fit together. I hadn’t realized before going that the five colleges basically share one plot of land, divvied up into different sizes and each with their own completely unique feel. I could see how easy it would be to take classes at one of the other schools.
Super, thank you for that info. Sounds great!
It looks like RD decisions were released on March 19 in the last two years, so maybe this week???
We toured this fall and has the same experience and reaction. Every campus is so accessible to the others. Very cute town as well with nice shops and dining options…
Actually - just received an email that decisions will come out this Friday at 4pm PDT
Yes, we just got it, too! They didn’t send it to my son–looks like it’s just a heads-up for the parents. I’m so glad they sent it. Some schools don’t give you a date in advance or even send you an email to check your portal!
Good luck!
You too!
I got the email, too. I’m glad they’re not making us wait till April 1. Ack! Fingers crossed.
Not sure if your still looking for recommendations but I’m a current freshman at Pitzer and would definitely recommend walking on the other 4 campuses and then going into the village. Let me know if you have further questions.
Pitzer is out! My son won’t be home for hours so I am waiting on pins and needles! Best of luck to everyone!!!
SAME! And my S is sloowwwww about checking his portals. He prefers to just wait for an email!
My son was accepted and is SO excited. Go SageHens.
Mine too.
Mine, too! A very happy Friday evening!
Waitlisted:-(
I go here if anyone has questions
Do you know anything about the outdoors club? Does the student body in general attend school events or more do their own thing? Thx!
There’s “On the Loose” which is a 5C outdoors club, there’s also another club called Pitzer Outdoor Activities, and the student garden if that’s of interest! In terms of events, our covid restrictions are verrrryyyyy strict, so we haven’t really had the chance, but there’s not too much night life. Occasional small/medium gatherings, and Pitzer did have the Halloween Party. It doesn’t ramp up from my understanding, but hopefully next year they’ll bring back events more (each college hosts an event for the rest of the colleges)
