Hello.

I'm currently a chemistry major but have been looking into going to graduate school for planetary sciences. I have found a number of programs that will admit chemistry majors. Assuming, I get into one of these programs and eventually get a PhD as is my plan, I would like to know what my career prospects are afterwards. I cannot seem to find any specific information pertaining to careers in planetary science. Specifically, I am more interested in other planets, not so much the Earth science portion of planetary science.

I would like to know about job outlook, will it be difficult to find jobs? What are average salaries? Starting salaries? What kind of jobs can you get in planetary science? And all such other questions that most people ask when looking to different careers.

Any information will be highly appreciated!
Thank you!
