Planning for MBA - government work experience?

<p>I am currently a freshman at a top undergraduate institution majoring in econ and I am thinking of working in the government for maybe 3-4 years after graduation to explore my options. However I am wondering if that kind of work experience would be suitable for applying to top MBA programs like MIT? Or do they require work experience related to the business sector? Thank you for your help in advance!</p>
