Planning on taking the MCATS, is this a good game plan? Any other suggestions?

I took a KAPLAN course last year around this time but never really took it too seriously so I ended up not taking the MCATS last summer. I was speaking to a doctor at the Hospital that I work at and since I'm supposed to graduate in '11 he told me I should take it this summer, but take it in June then take it again in August.

I don't want to pay for another Kaplan course so my plan was to review the flash cards we get in the package and the other material using the knowledge I get from those plus what I got from school to take it in June.

I've always wanted to take an "Exam Krakers" course, and I know that they have some running at Columbia University.....do you think it's a good idea to study on my own before June then take the Exam Krakers course RIGHT AFTER that before my test in August?

Your feedback is much appreciated.

You should only take the MCAT once, if possible. Are you planning to apply this year? If so, August is starting to push it as far as a timeline goes. Honestly, I don’t know how much more lectures are going to be of value to you. I would probably just buy the online materials and self study.
