<p>Hi, from Los Angeles (go to 184th best school in country) with the following on my transcript. I know UCLA and UNC Chapel Hill are stretches, but what more do I need?
Honors: Geometry, Biology, Algebra 2, Pre-Calc., English 10, Chemistry
AP*: Euro, Gov, USH, Spanish, Psychology, English 11, English 12, Biology, Chemistry, Calculus
CP: English 9, Ceramics 1, Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3</p>
<p>*I received 3s (and some 4s) on the significant majority of the AP tests that I have taken so far.
In the AP classes, mostly As but a few Bs.
In the CP and honors classes, all As (except ceramics, B).</p>
<p>SAT: 2000 (trying to get to 2100): 640 CR, 710 W, 650 M
Others:
I received the only Most Improved award given by my Spanish teacher (who teaches 120 students).
I volunteered 150 hours at local library (10).
I volunteered 50 hours tutoring (10-12).
I volunteered 100 hours at local hospital. (11)
I have done XC for 4 years and track for 2 years.
I participated as a JSA member in debate club for 2 years.
I started a Coupon Club that donated coupons to the military. The club ran successfully for 1 year (11).</p>
<p>UCSD should be a guarantee, but what more can I do for UCLA or UNC Chapel Hill?</p>
