Mentor-Protege Program: Over the course of my senior year, I will be job-shadowing a research pharmacist 4 hours a month. It’s part of a program my school offers that only 21 seniors are accepted into each year in order to provide insight into their career interests.

Volunteer:
I volunteer regularly at my school and church throughout the year. Also, I volunteer weekly at my local hospital’s ER unit for 4 hours each week. Total service hours = 100+ hours.

Test Scores:
I have taken the ACT three times. I got a 26 on my first try (28-English, 26-Math and Reading, and 25-Science). The second time I got a 27 (33-English, 25-Math, Reading, and Science). The third time I got a 29 (30-English, 29-Math, 31-Reading, and 26-Science) with an overall superscore of 30.

What are my chances?

Just out of curiousity, what are your AP scores. You received A’s in both AP classes you have taken so far. I’m curious to see whether your school inflates grades. As of right now though, I think you probably will be accepted.

@jarrett211 my APUSH score was a 4 and my AP Lang score was a 3!

That is what I half expected to hear. The fact that you got an A in Lang but only a 3 in Lang gives me a good impression about the quality of academics at your school. Either that, or your simply a bad test taker. I still think you’ll probably make it though.

@jarrett211 yeah…for being a public school in central Indiana, our academics are above average compared to the schools around us actually. Plus, we got a new AP Lang teacher who has never taught the course before and I’m a bad test taker!!!
