Do you do anything with music? (jk) Great stats, others hopefully can judge your music accomplishments much better than me. Good luck!

You are clearly academically qualified, and will be competitive. You will need to organize your application and your activities to present a more coherent narrative. You clearly have a strong passion for music and have achieved at a fairly high level, but right now your activities are all jumbled together. Also 1,500 volunteer hours is a LOT, and may raise questions. Is that in the last 4 years? What has your volunteer work involved, and does it relate at all to your music interest?

How you present yourself and the narrative that you create about your interests, passions, and purpose will be important in getting you to the next level - not only being qualified, but standing out.

Good luck!

You need as @renaissancedad hinted above to pare your activities. Tone down all the noise and prioritize and highlight the top say 4-5 musical accomplishments you have. What would they be?

If you’ve won a Grammy, that’s about as strong a musical hook as you could possibly have.

You’re either making this up, or you can count on an acceptance from one of HYPS*

*Still unpredictable. Apply to safeties and matches. Don’t start picking out Harvard gear and choosing a dorm.

Ha! Jokes on you! Ivy’s only accept people who play the Kazoo! Lol, first the grammys, then what, cure cancer? You’ll make at least one of these schools if you emphasize music and volunteering

@NotVerySmart For grammy’s I’m assuming his Jazz Band won it not himself personally. Although it is a big accomplishment it isn’t (as much as my knowledge) an indvidual award.

Our school won Grammy’s 3 times (probably one of the best music programs in the nation) and yet it didn’t help much for college decisions.
