<p>I don't really think I'm going to get into college, at this point I'm just hoping to get into my state school UMD. Please be brutally honest, do you think I'll be able to get in with these stats? Some background info: I'm a junior and I'm currently working on my second semester.</p>

<p>Applying to:
U of Maryland College Park (state flagship)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5 UW/4.5 W (Will try to get up to a 3.6 this semester)
Freshman year GPA UW (Semester 1 & Semester 2): 3.4 & 3.7
Sophomore year GPA UW (S1&S2): 3.7 & 4.0
Junior year GPA UW (S1): 2.57 (this is really bad and what gets me worried, I'm trying to work on getting a 4.0 this 2nd semester or a 3.85)
SAT: 2100
SAT II: Math 1 (800), Math II (750), Chemistry (800)
AP: US Gov (3), Chem (5), Calc AB (5), AP Statistics (4)
Expected AP scores in senior year: Calc BC (5), Psych (5)
Junior year courseload: AP Stat, AP Calc, AP Chem, Honors World, Honors Physics, Honors English 11
Senior year courseload: Honors English 12, AP Calc BC, AP Psych, Computer Programming, Astronomy, Education Math Internship (In-school), Foundations of Art</p>

<p>ECs:
-Chemistry Club (9-12)
-Voice for Girls, 11-12, Secretary (11) and President (12)
-National Honors Society (11)
-Job at a Tutoring center (10-12, will continue in college if possible)
-Playing violin since 4th grade with recitals, nothing very special
-Volunteer at local library (10-11), quit to do part time job at tutoring center
-Volunteer at local elementary school helping kids with homework (11)</p>

<p>Awards:
-County service award for 260+ volunteer hrs
I'm lacking in this area and I'm really running out of time, is there anything I can do? Also, we get the award for the volunteer hours in late senior year after we send in our college applications so I don't know if I'll be able to include that on my college application.</p>

<p>UMD ussally has a higher unweighted GPA but you seem very versatile so UMD- match</p>
